CENTRAL COAST ROLLER DERBY TO MEET L.A. HALF-WAY - "MERRY MAYHEM" DECEMBER 16
PORTION OF PROCEEDS GOING TO THE COALITION TO END FAMILY VIOLENCE OF VENTURA COUNTY
The women of CENTRAL COAST ROLLER DERBY (CCRD) are at it again, challenging their rivals in L.A. the Angel City Derby Girls (AC/DG) in the "Merry Mayhem" bout to take place at the RollerDome in Thousand Oaks, on Saturday, December 16.
Last August the hard working women of CCRD accepted a challenge for their first intra-league bout and cruised down to L.A. to take on the Angel City Derby Girls. The bout took place on L.A.'s turf and AC/DG showed us a thing or two about hard hitting! Saturday, December 16 at the RollerDome in Thousand Oaks (950 Avenida De Los Arboles) CCRD will get their revenge by putting together an All-Star line-up of skaters to take on the gals of Angel City!
"We know this game is a little out of our home territory, but we're hoping to get the women of Ventura County excited enough about derby to start their own league. That way there's one more league in California for both us and L.A. to play against!" says Rotten Peaches, co-founder of CCRD.
Tickets will be available for $14 through all VALLITIX locations, online and via phone (888 825 5484) with a portion of the proceeds going to The Coalition to End Family Violence of Ventura County.

CCRD was founded in January 2006, by skaters Rotten Peaches and Senorita Cheeba who were looking for something fun to be involved in. A way to blow off steam, meet like-minded women on the Central Coast, and burn 635 calories an hour! CCRD was born, BY local women, FOR local women (who can’t afford anger management)! Our goal as a Non-Profit organization is to promote the empowerment of women of all ages who are looking for modern strong independent female role models. We also plan to donate monies every year to local women and children charities in need of help.
