The women of CENTRAL COAST ROLLER DERBY are back and stronger than ever! CCRD presents Roller Bowl ’06, Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Paso Robles Event Center. Join us at our Tailgate Party for music by A**fro Funk Rock Organization at 6:30 pm. Derby brawling starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets will be $12 (plus service fees) and available through all Vallitix locations (www.vallitix.com or via phone 888 825 5484) with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the North County Women’s Shelter. Also join us for our private after party at the new Downtown Brew Paso Robles location! (located across from downtown park.)

Since CCRD’s first expo game last June, the girls have been working their butts off to make roller derby bigger and better here on the Central Coast! In August CCRD played a bout against veteran league Angel City Derby Girls in LA and more than held their own! And with recruiting parties being held here on the Central Coast, roughly 20 more skaters have jumped on board and are learning how to slug and skate with the best of them! By the end of this year CCRD will be ready to split into permanent teams to bring a full season of roller derby to the Central Coast next year with our kick-off bout set for February 2007! CCRD was founded in January 2006, by skaters Rotten Peaches and Senorita Cheeba who were looking for something fun to be involved in. A way to blow off steam, meet like-minded women on the Central Coast, and burn 635 calories an hour! CCRD was born, BY local women, FOR local women (who can’t afford anger management)! Our goal as a Non-Profit organization is to promote the empowerment of women of all ages who are looking for modern strong independent female role models. We also plan to donate monies every year to local women and children charities in need of help.
